My 2018 Classroom Tour!

Welcome to my 2018 classroom tour!

This year I went for a full-on theme, which is not something I’ve done in the past. (Usually I’ve just opted for lots of bright colours!) But this year my school has a focus on developing curious learners so I opted to go with an Alice in Wonderland theme and I love  how it turned out, and I can’t wait to share it with you!

I have a video tour, which I’m going to include in this blog post, where you can see and hear me walk you through my classroom and the different areas and features. I’ve also got some photos below for you to check out.

If there is anything you would like more information on, let me know in the comments and I will happily do specific blog posts to answer your questions.

Do you have a classroom theme? Let me know in the comments what you do to set your classroom up at the start of a new year!

  1. Hi Stef,

Wow! This just totally makes me want to go and set up a classroom. I miss this time of year. Not just the fun of decorating and setting things up (well, sometimes it’s not fun when you inherit a room that’s full of junk), but the feeling of having a fresh start. It’s so nice!

Hope things are going well with your grade ones. Were they blown away when they arrived? 🙂

    • It was really nice to set up a room from scratch again. Luckily the room I went into had been recently refurbished so it had been cleaned out pretty thoroughly before hand!

My Grade 1s are good – very sweet. They loved the room and have been very good at keeping it the way it was the first day they walked in, which is kind of adorable!

  2. Thank you for sharing your room with us. It’s really creative and fun. Now that I teach adults, I sometimes miss some of the decorations at the elementary level. I still try to do a little decorating based on the main theme in the semester, but it’s never as breathtaking as yours. Keep up the good work.

    • Thanks so much, Sheryl! I had a year out of the classroom, so I went a little crazy this year, but it was a lot of fun putting it together, and the kids have really enjoyed it and are really good at taking care of everything so it’s definitely been worth it!
