Since I finished Term 1 yesterday I’m completely out of sync with the days of the week. (Although, to be honest, I’ve been out of sync all week.) Today does not feel like a Friday – but I’ll take it anyway!
I recently discovered a place to buy Reese’s Peanut Butter Cups five minutes away from my house. Can anyone say ‘happiness’?
I don’t have a picture for this one (well, I do, but it’s not my place to post it online!). I mentioned in my post yesterday that my best friend recently had a baby. On Tuesday I went to visit the beautiful little Isla Tilly and had a great catch-up with her mum. Isla’s super-cute and slept most of the time and didn’t completely lose it when I held her for 20ish minutes (babies don’t generally like me, so I was ecstatic!). And yep, I’m her Fairy Bookmother. I should have cards made. 😉
Yesterday was our last day of school for the term. As you can see, the Easter Bunny visited my beautiful Prep/1s and left them chocolate-y treats.
As I promised my Grade 1s last week, my whole class made fancy looking hats for the holidays. My class (who never stop talking – ever) were SO QUIET when they were cutting the green fringing. Then they had to roll the green ‘grass’ and hide holiday objects in the grass. You can’t see very well in mine, but I had Easter Bunny ears, eggs and a carrot hiding in my grass. We had a bit of fun making these!
We had a ridiculous little rainstorm on Thursday afternoon when I finally left school. I catch the bus and I swear we’d turn corners and it would rain, we’d turn again and it was bright and sunny, and then it would rain again. The upside of this being – a beautiful rainbow. I am quite happy to have the rain, though. Beats the 40+ celcius days we’ve had this year!
SALE: I’m having a 20% off sale in my TpT store all weekend – don’t forget to stop by!
And now for a special request…
I’m organising my lessons for the first week back next term (yes, I am aware that it’s 2 weeks away – I’m attempting to be organised, shhh!) and I need some suggestions.
We’re covering ordinal numbers this week and I’ve got tons of activities for my Preps(/Kinders) because we always do a ton of work on ordinal numbers, but I need some new ideas for my Grade 1 students. They’ve done all of my previous activities, and this is really a revision for them, so I’m curious to know what ordinal number activities you do with your students or if you have any suggestions.
Cheers, in advance!
